This weekend is all about having fun! We'll be working on the menu for the upcoming 3-Day Raw Food Spiritual Ashram Retreat that I've organized for the end of May. What does it mean to work on the menu? Well, it means I'll be making and sampling all kinds of gourmet raw food dishes this weekend!

For each recipe I decide to include on the retreat menu, I need to figure out how much the recipe produces so that I'll be able to easily multiply the recipe to match that of the number of individuals attending the retreat (we still have room, so if you are interested in joining us, I'd love to meet you!). Once I'm at the Peaceful Valley Ashram, I won't have access to a store selling fresh organic produce. It's important to do all of this work beforehand, so that I purchase enough ingredients before heading to the ashram that weekend. This preliminary work is going to be delicious work, indeed!

So far, I know I'm going to be serving pancakes (yes, raw pancakes!). I made them in the past and they were a huge hit here at Pure Jeevan. I'll be making apple pie, I'm sure, as well as all kinds of sweet treats. Desserts are easy; just about everyone loves them, right? When it comes to the lunches and dinners, I need to put a lot of thought into it. I want to have a great variety, since not everyone will have the same likes and dislikes when it comes to the meals. There will be a large assortment of foods served with each meal, so that everyone will enjoy the retreat as much as possible. That means I have a lot of sampling and planning to do this weekend (and possibly next weekend, if I don't complete the menu before Sunday).

What are you doing for fun this weekend? We'd love to hear from you. :-)
